Evolution of Medicine in America
Conventional medicine: good for acute illness and trauma, but symptomatic medications leads to “managed” care and an epidemic of chronic disease (currently 60% of Americans).
Functional, or, integrative medicine: restores function, or promotes health, often leading to reversal of chronic disease.
Mindbody medicine: uncovering the cause of disease within conscious and unconscious mind empowers the healing process often leading to recovery, personal growth and self-knowledge, thereby fulfilling the purpose of disease, which is healing.
